Things To Be Avoided While Practicing SEO Marketing

The job of SEO is to improve the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines. Today most of the companies have a suitable web presence and are spending incredible amount of money and effort in attaining top rankings in search engine results by hiring an Internet Marketing or SEO Marketing Company. However many crucial issues are still overlooked in the process.
Here are a few simple don’ts that SEO marketers should follow while practicing SEO strategy.


Avoid Keyword Stuffing :-
Keyword stuffing refers to the repeated use of a certain keyword thereby increasing its frequency in the page. Search engines have the capability to analyze whether the frequency of a particular keyword is above normal level or not compared to rest of the words in the page.

Pay Equal Importance to the Optimization of Inner Pages As Well :-
Many webmasters spend most of their time optimizing only the home page. This practice should be strictly avoided. Equal weightage should be given to both the home page as well as the inner pages in the optimization process since this increases the chances of getting more search engine traffic. Usually, the inner pages attract more traffic than the home page.

Use Both HTML Hyperlinks and JavaScript :-
Many SEO experts use only JavaScript to build their navigation links. But many a times, this is not correct as search engines cannot read hyperlinks written in javascript. So it’s better to use HTML to construct hyperlinks so that search engines can easily understand and index them.

Avoid Submitting Similar Pages :-
Avoid submitting duplicate or similar web pages by giving them different filenames. This attempt will simply be termed as flooding of the search engine.

Be Careful In Choosing The Right Content Management Software (CMS) :-
Most web-based CMS offers to construct websites easily however they do not allow to create separate Title and Meta Tags for each page which is obviously not favorable from the SEO point of view. Ideally to make a website SEO friendly, each webpage must have a unique Title and Meta Tag.
