But don't forget that there are other major players around, such as Yahoo. So here are certain tips which you can follow to gain a good rank in Yahoo.
1. Well organised links :- Yahoo gives a lot of attention on the internal structure of the website. There has to be good internal links in order to have a good rank in Yahoo. In order to rank good in Yahoo external links doesn't matter that much.
2. Use primary keywords in title tags :- This works for Google as well, but it's very important for Yahoo. Use your primary keywords in the title tags. Yahoo looks at your page title as well as your Meta tags closely to determine the theme of your site. Make it easy for Yahoo and you will be rewarded with higher search rankings.
3. Use search engine -friendly URL :- The url that you will be using should be search engine friendly.
4. Write unique content :- This is one of the very important things. The content must be unique, crisp,informative and at the same time interesting.
